MAKEUP
My first experience of film-set makeup was when I was a cast member, and let’s just say that the makeup lady didn’t make it a good one! I learnt how not to treat ‘the artist’ if you actually want them to perform with confidence. With this in mind, I decided to build on my already established hair styling skills and train to be a professional makeup artist.
Having trained in all disciplines of makeup (beauty, period, fashion, facial hair and SFX), I have been able to use and develop all of these skills across my career so far. In addition, I have a respected talent for underwater work and for managing the many challenging circumstances that come with this work. I keep up to date with makeup product developments and am very interested in technical innovations which drive improvements in our industry. My ‘kit’ reflects this investment and interest; if there is a nifty and useful gadget or shiny new product then I usually have one…. and ….I’m not afraid to use it!
There are so many examples, I can’t put them here so if there’s something specific you’re looking for please give me a call and I can discuss your needs with you.
